The Greene County boys soccer team took the field just once last week due to weather, but walked away with a win.
On April 19, the Rams traveled to Winterset to face the 2-5 Huskies. Though the Rams didn’t have as many games under their belt so far this season, they were still able to battle through and took the match 3-1.
The Rams made two of their goals in the first half of the game, with the third coming in the second half. The Huskies scored their single goal in the second half of the game.
Jose Velazco had two goals on the night, while Gesser Gutierres had one goal and one assist. Rams goalie Gabe Ebersole had 10 saves in the game, and gave up only one goal.
The Rams were slated for two games this week, both games at the Grand Junction football field.
